Project:  EUROPE IN BIG SMALL MOVES

Description: Project involves translation, publication, distribution and promotion of 10 European books from 10 different languages.Let's talk about EUROPE IN BIG SMALL MOVES in short frames...Explore Europe! This project invites deep insight to a grand space of European literature – rich, diverse, complex, inspiring, modern…Think big!... The project shows us most important literary works of contemporary European writers – awarded, recognized, influential authors. People with an attitude, high quality books with impressive background....But less is more! We chose 10 books written in 10 less-used languages to show a genuine art of the words, which is created in each corner of Europe, regardless numbers and beating the stereotypes of any kind.Keep up with the original! All books will be done by direct translations from all the involved languages, which is very important to be credible and is something not easy in a small country, where translation capacities are very limited.Move on! We talk about moves instead of books, since in 21st century literature is not any more an “item”, but a real movement, a call to action. Books nowadays express personal opinions, they reflect social issues, they convey true face of reality, they push forward the creative and intellectual capacities of all European people.Feel the difference! From fear to tears, from experiment to straight stories, from crime to love, from dark to light, from artistic to commercial, enjoy the different layers of European literature.Stay together! The aim of EUROPE IN BIG SMALL MOVES is to create a European project of diversity but unity, where the stylistic and linguistic variety will show the unification turning around the topic of story and around the topic of European story, in one “big small” picture which reflects EU commonality.
