: Overall Objective(s):
To contribute towards the alignment of the national system with the EU and Schengen standards in the area of integrated border management in line with the objectives of the national and EU accession strategies.
Specific objective:
The project specific objective is further development of the capacities in the area of integrated border management through mapping out of the measures for adoption of a Schengen related acquis, upgrade of the legislation, implementation of trainings for the institutions with competences on Integrated Border Management, with particular focus on the Border Police, as well as assessment of the needs for upgrade of the related Border Control IT system.
