: the main objective is to improve municipal wastewater collection infrastructure in compliance with the directive 91/217/eec and North Macedonian law. the project envisages measures for upgrating of the existing sewerage system in the city of skopje which would contribute to the following: improved hygienic standards for the population; less problem in maintenance of the sewerage system; prevention of surface and groundwater pollution and protection of the vardar watercourse; proper functioning of the future central wwtp.
